Waste Right

He Jun Jie, Adi Yap, Wang Qinqi, Aye Thandar, Vincent Burger, Arthur Apolant

One of the many products introduced to our team was the Food Composter; a machine imported from China that can convert food waste into fertilizer. The team has decided that the new objective of the project should be to introduce the Terrasol Food Composter to JCU. The theme of the project will still be regarding recycling, but this time it will be focused more on reducing food waste in JCU Singapore instead. The commercial version of the Terrasol Food Composter can convert up to 20 tonnes of food waste per day. The waste can be thrown in at anytime, without interfering with the conversion process. No wastewater discharge or odor is produced. It accepts Vegetables, Poultry, Seafood, Meat, Eggs, Fruits or Peels, Bread, Rice, Noodles, Soft shells and Small bones. It also accepts Horticulture waste e.g. leaves.
