For the first time the event will be held for 2 days and will see a collaboration of the university’s Multidisciplinary Projects, Applied Research Projects and the Design Thinking and Creative IT Industries students

The event will also invite industry practitioners as guest speakers, judges, mentors and JCU academia in a shared platform of exchanges, problem solving, discussions, teamwork and a fun learning environment.

*The event is managed by the JCUS 16th Convergence Conference Organising Committee of students, with an adviser and lecturers as support or mentors to their respective disciplines and team.

Sapphire Blue

Sapphire Blue is considered royalty and elegance

*Blue means wisdom, depth, stability & confidence

Mustard Yellow

Mustard yellow is a tangy & sharp colour which gives heat to anything it blends with.

*Yellow means happiness, energy, intellect & enlightenment

Event Objective

to bring together 3 various disciplines (Multidisciplinary Project, Applied Research Programme/Project & Design Thinking II) into one Convergence Conference event.
to showcase the various creative and innovative solutions to problems presented in each discipline by posters, videos, debate, design sprint, presentations and more.
to engage students in their respective challenges with industry practitioners, academia, guest speakers & judges.
